Chitral Somapala Headlines Finals of TNL Onstage 2008!
Chitral Somapala of world-renowned heavy metal band, Civilization-1, will stage an exclusive one night only performance at the hotly awaited Finals of TNL Onstage.
Chitral or Chity as he is more commonly known, has toured extensively since the mid-90’s with various international rock and heavy metal acts like Avalon, Firewind, and Red Circuit, before forming his own band, Civilization-1, which recently released their debut album, Revolution Rising.
Acclaimed for his ability to combine the passion of blues and soul with the electric intensity of heavy metal, Chity is one of the leading heavy metal musicians in Europe and has been compared to the likes of class acts such as Ronnie James Dio (Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell + Dio).
Currently teaching bass and vocals at the Modern Music School in Trier, Germany, Chity is taking time off for an exclusive visit to Sri Lanka to belt out a ripping performance at the Finals of Onstage 2008.
