I don't want to pin point a single one, but the majority of who root for Lasantha has not done much for themselves. They have earned dimes here and there, and think they know every shit out there, and those who are skeptic are bloody idiots.

To brag about myself, I and my partner (Israeli) has a site within Alexa top 5,000, and I am the tech guy there (her money, my brain).
We are a web site statistics and SEO analytics service, and every domain gets its own page with statistics, plus some ads. I have 3 AWS large Varnish servers on the front, 1 redis, 2 medium EC2 instances, 1 micro EC2, and RDS for the entire architecture. CloudFront costs exceed 2 TB every month, and we overall pay over $1,400 (reserved instances, CloudFront varies) a month to Amazon, and our income from Adsense of about $12,000 a month, $500 from namecheap, $2000 from Godaddy. We also have to pay about $500 in total for Mailchimp, $200 for IP geo location services, plus some small amounts here and there.

The point is, earning money out of the Internet is not easy as you think. About 2 years ago, we were over 2 million in alexa, and my clent basically paid about $500 every month for all the costs (with smaller AWS servers). Most dumb fucks here only "know" that you can earn, but knows nothing about the real efforts behind that. All our services are automated, and $30 a month plan notifies me if a server is down. That's all my job nowadays.

If you have ever brought a site for Alexa 50,000 or lower, have pitched to a VC, and have tried to run a startup, you'll know how hard that is. That is the tip of the iceberg. Not some dumb fucker running shotloads of sites with 100 hits day, and expect to earn $100 a day.
