Degree and job are completely two different things. You may check your desired institute with relevant web site for recognition (eg https://www.acu.ac.uk/) or http://www.webometrics.info/en for ranking.

Finding job is another issue, you may try a program with industry internship. Or do a small survey (Sunday papers) what are the job requirements on it field (eg Java, Ajax etc)

Thanx for the input bro. But I thought about the validity of the degree first cause it would be the initial entry point to the industry for me. The main goal is to somehow get into the industry first and then from there I would have to build up my skills and experience

I'm a private UNI student, and now I'm joining with a reputed company as a software engineer.

I'll give some hint to success,

1. Malli, you have to complete your degree with a class, at least second upper. (I know most of the companies are never add a value to class, but this vision may help to keep your progress.)
   
2. Try to complete professional exam while your degree program such as OCPJP. This will definitely add value to your career.
   
3. In last year of your degree program, try to find some internship in a reputed company.

There are degree courses approved by UGC and most of them are offered by government institutes or universities. And there are UGC recognized foreign universities. Its always better if you can go for the first one

Its unclear what they exactly mean by approved foreign university but anyway when i applied for the masters they checked whether the university is in the approved list and accepted. its always better if you can go for the approved degree course rather than just approved foreign uni

Yeah I got that bro. The foreign university which Im concerned about is in that recognized foreign university list but is the degree UGC recognized due the the uni being in the list? I would have to call UGC and see I think......

There's a lot of risks involved in investing capital for a brand new business venture bro. Even my parents are reluctant in providing me with money due to this issue. They think that I'll fail eventually in business. What they are suggesting is finding a good job with a good salary. And even when I ask for money for my education they hesitate even then.I guess I'll have to finance my studies by myself. And talking bout business what sort of business are you suggesting to do in srilanka??
