7.2 is just not practically achievable in sri lanka.. but still the speed is quite amazing in city areas

ai lankawe polawa ada da?
im using slt adsl for sometime and it stays unlimited 58KBps mostly the maximum allowed is 64KBps but sometimes it goes beyond that so the connection can be averaged to 60KBps its like that all day(i mean the total packet input from the net, not just from a certain server) 60/64 is 93.8% of the promised value but if you use late night that is higher dialog dont have much traffic as slt if they cant keep up 7.2mbps now its never until they make a big change to their system

Why are people so worked up about this ?
This package is for students. Therefore the primary goals is to use this for studying purposes. Not for downloading movies, songs and games.
For the studying purposes the 5GB per month is a fair amount and they are not charging for over usage so it is cheap.
If you plan to misuse the connection from the get go, maybe you need to stop bad mouthing the provider and re think on what you're trying to do.

so they are telling it as an unlimited one, Why they do it?

downloading educational videos is not misusing but at the same time, they usually dont amount to more than 5GB.
Unlimited means they dont charge you for over usage.
I havent used HSPA in SL so cant comment on download speed.

Obviously, with HSPA, you need to be in an area with good 3G coverage. If you're not in 3G coverage area it probably connects on GPRS and that speed is slow.
