SLT is slow, yes, but everything is slow! Only one way out of it! Go abroad. But if you're in Sri Lanka, you can't beat the dominancy of SLT.

Really? :P :P :P he he.. lolZ... yeah, but when it comes to ADSL, still, SLT ADSL is the best - cost efficient wise... if performance wise it's Mobitel HSPA...

Allapu Gedara! ;)
Machan its Dialogs way of protecting themselves from the Torrent craze...SLT got messed up big tym coz everybody started DLing torrents out of their ADSL and this service being Shared one finally nobody was able to get the promised 512k from SLT.(My highest benchmarkd score was 495kbps)

So dialog knew that when they start offering 2Mbit lines for 5k it'll deffa will have to suffer the same problems as SLT. Its their way of banning P2P traffic like torrents. If u read that FUP agreement it clearly states that the dialog user must not use any kind of Torrent or P2P application in their broadband connection.

How ever if you keep using the software they will moniter the traffic and cap the bandwidth for next month...basically you'd be stuck with a 128k connection instead of 2Mbit the whole month and will have to pay the usual rs.5000 as the rental...

All the dialog charmaxx users out there... you all are FUPED UP! thats ryt dialog screwd you@!! hahaha :P

siraawata...whats the purpose of havin a 2Mbit line if you cant download torrents...lol :dull:

emmm... i think u wrong... cos mobitel uses the slt bandwidth too rite?

lol... Mobitel is a different network... yeah, it uses the SLT fibre backbone but Mobitel is not SLT neeee.. BTW, mate, if there is HSPA in ur area, u'll hv lightening fast downloads... n Mobitel nw has 14.4Mbps.... but it's not islandwide right now.... but in most of the areas, atleast 3.6Mbps can be achieved... ny way, Mobitel M3 is great for users who are not download addicts (charged on content basis ne... not unlimited neee...) so if you need to download 24x7... SLT adsl it is...

What a stupid policy!

This is total shit.. its totally owned by Telecom Malaysia.. but Telecom Malaysia has no such rules here!

This is purely to save their bandwidth and earn more money!
