Our students go to India, Bangladesh, Russia, UK, Australia and spending 1000s of dollars on universities Sri Lanka's money... If we had private universities those it would be grate for SL economy...

private universities are usually a major income for other countries. How many Srilankans leave country for higher education?? How much money they carry out from the country??? And finally most of them do not come back to SL. They work for those countries. They got free education until A/L and finally the SL have no use of them. Money the government spent giving free education becomes another wastage.

Then most of them marry foreign girls or boys. Resulting Kids are not SL. They will be speaking english. After few generations, there won't be Srilankans. Specially Sinhalese.

Fortunately now most of ppl understand these things. But there are some who never understand and never let anyone to start private Uni. Lankawa ekathana pal wenne me wage dewal hinda thama.
