Honestly I don't like timeline its look like shitline for me except the cover page and that's the only good thing i see.

its more like a diary where you can add your life events, keep your close friends separate and share only certain stuff with the rest and many more. seems you'r not making the full use of it
basically it helps you keep track of your whole life. since no one keep a diary these days, timeline helps you keep track of all what you do
