there are few major points

* The perception about vehicles in Sri Lanka should change
* The market needs to change.
* The public transport system should improve.
* people should stop buying vehicles which they cannot afford.

The issue is not with the vehicles but with the infrastructure. Our infrastructure network is still 40-50 years behind the demand for the motor vehicles. That's where the problem is. We need to upgrade the infrastructure network to cope with the influx of motor vehicles. MR had done a lot to address the issue. But a lot more is needed to be done.
