IDM is fine..i have tried other managers ...Nothing matches with the performance of IDM..

ok thanks.just that im having trouble when it comes to downloading from certain sites.idm asks me to refresh the link but it does not work all the time.

Sometimes that happens in Mediafire..
that is something up with that site i think...not with IDM..

try the same thing in different servers and try to download avoiding link as such..
