Core 2 price da? Not so much. You can buy a 1.86GHz one for the price of a 3.4GHz PentiumD I suppose. Anyway, the top motherboards are out of reach

Threads are small process like things inside a main process. Every process has at least one thread.

For example, in a web browser, the page rendering/loading and the menu displays work in different threads. If there were not separated, you won't be able to open a menu, while a page is loading & vise versa.

DELL is fine, if you go for high end stuff. Low end PCs are same from everyone = utter crap!
