well, I have ordered some stuff from ebay to sri lanka, it came pretty safe and fast. however i had to pay duty in SL.
when paying for ebay use paypal, thats the best method. Paypal was only introduced to SL recently, and when i ordered it wasn't there even, I had to pay with moneybrookers which wasn't safe.

Even I'm sending stuff to my brother in SL via eBay.

If the item is bulky then you need to pay some taxes through the post office. If it's a small item, then no taxes.

But when you order, just check the seller details. I mean check the feedback comments. Then you can get an idea about the seller's trustworthyness.
