In most of the IT degrees, management is integrated to the curriculam these days. So when you pick an IT degree try to pick one with management in it.

It is best if you can do some management side studies outside your degree but machan time management is also important. Dont try things which are outside your capacity simply coz all the others are doing it.

yeah i know my limit wel. i'll try my best to manage things right.

while doing the IT degree, if i do CIM or CIMA part time, will it help my CV??

totally agree with u machan. they asked a minimum of two years experience.:D

its not a bed of roses for sure. have to work hard to gain that much money.:D

r u doing IT??? what is the degree??
I did the software engineering internal degree at University of Colombo and did CIMA and CIM on the way. Now I am working for a company where I get to combine management with IT. Pretty cool ways are there to get the job done machan. Specially stuff like Oracle EBS and SAAP.

Yeah machan, experience is a must for you if you are heading for a good salary. You will get some at the start but not something really high. You need to make your way to get there and show the company you are someone worth spending. Perform well and they will pay u. :D

my answer is a definite yes. It will give you a boost over and above your fellow IT students. Trust me on this one. I am talking with experience. :D

Dont think twice to do it if you have the slightest confidence that you can manage it.

Electronic Engineering; very high salleries, but is very difficult to enter.
Only in Moratuwa university Electronic Engineering is taught in SL.

Other than that Mechanical, Computer, Tele-Communication, Electrical all these fields have almost equal recognition & reputation. Most of these are only taught in Moratuwa university though some are taught in other two engineering faculties in SL; Peradeniya & Ruhunu universities.

Other than engineering, Quantity Surveying & Urban Planning (Town Planning) are two up coming fields that a Math student can apply for.

Well engineering is available in APIIT, ANC, & many more private institutions.

Well Urban Planning mostly popular in SL as Town Planning is taught in the official Town Planning Department in SL, Moratuwa university. In summary it is the field wher u work with the land & put it in to the beterment of people. Planners are kinda managers, they are the one who controlles the other HR & manage them according to plan.
