    PLX Kiwi Fuel Saving Device

    DrEPhFRAHMcElA9r.jpg

With the surging price of fuel, motorists are now doing anything they can to save a little gasoline. A tiny device called the PLX Kiwi works on the philosophy that you can save fuel and money if you change your driving habits. On the surface, it looks like a GPS, only it does not give you directions. Instead, this training device is designed to track your fuel consumption. It also rates you based on how "green" you're driving style is, from 0 to 100. From this information, PLX Kiwi shows you how to become a more fuel-efficient driver.
Designed to help you increase fuel economy, the PLX Kiwi also allows you to check OBDII engine warning codes. From here, you can see a LED display that will show you how to save on gas (up to 20%). While its squishy buttons raise some eyebrows, its display looks nice and it is easy to operate. The one plug approach to set-up is good. However, it requires calibration, which can be a chore, depending on the type of your vehicle. If your vehicle has the requisite sensors, the device performs as advertised. But if your vehicle has a trip computer, some of PLX Kiwi's features will be redundant.
Although the PLX Kiwi is a good training device for a more efficient driving, it will not miraculously improve your fuel economy. In addition, many consumers would prefer to see this device as one of the features on their GPS, instead of a separate device itself. It costs £299, or about $563.

    X-avvmzRTFWMDxEY.gif

People in a technological world prefer living at a fast pace. They want to get things done right away, without the hassle of lengthy procedures. This is why many products evolve to adapt to the changing needs of people. For instance, camcorders used to be recorded on video tapes, which became smaller in size before being replaced by DVD, hard disk, or multimedia cards.
DXG USA brings their camcorders even further by not only making them small and convenient, but also by providing features that would enable users to share their videos quickly. The DXG-567V is a pocket-sized camcorder that lets you record videos in high-definition quality, up to 1280 X 720 at 30 frames-per-second.

You hold the camcorder out as if you are recording a video using your mobile phone, removing the hassle of carrying a bulky and clunky recording device. It also connects easily to your laptop or PC using a unique retractable USB connector. A quick 1-2-3 to the software and your video is uploaded on YouTube or other online video sharing sites. You can also connect the camcorder to any plasma or HDTV and watch the videos in full HD experience.
Other features of DXG-567V include easy-to-use buttons, S-video and composite cables, rechargeable AA batteries, and video editing software. You can choose from four colors and costs around $180.

    Solar Cell Tree Charger

    a9F2NBDW4PYyAdXs.jpg

Designer Vivien Muller has designed a charger inspired by nature. Vivie Muller's Solar Cell Tree uses solar panel for leaves which, just like real trees, absorb energy from the sun. Place you Solar Cell Tree where light can reach it and you'll have a fully charged battery to use for your gadgets - cellphone, camera.
This USB Solar Cell Tree has space for 54 photovoltaic panels which can be rotated to get more output if you find something charging slow.
All the tree charger's wires are plugged and hidden beneath the electronic "bonsai" tray.
The tree is made up of several modules fitted together by a 3.5 jack connector. Each of the individual parts can be rotated to produce an endless number of different shapes.
The Solar Tree Charger takes a lot less upkeep than your normal houseplant - no watering, no pruning - just sunlight.

    MSI Wind U100 Sub-Notebook

    _kr-By_zp5PuqiXX.jpg

Remember the time when laptops were too large that it can occupy the whole café table? Sure the performance was superb and it is portable, but you know it can be better. Good thing it is.
With technology going smaller and more efficient, it would not be too long that we get sub-notebooks, which measures about a fourth of the traditional laptop. Among the first models include the Asus Eee PC 900 and HP 2133 Mini-note, but MSI comes up with a sub-notebook of their own: The MSI Wind.
This sub-notebook is measured at a mere 10 inches of widescreen. It is slightly larger than the Eee, but who would want to watch at a 7-inch screen, much more type on such small computer? Even kid's computers do not come with that smaller size. MSI Wind also comes with an array of cool hardware such as an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB memory, 80GB hard drive, an integrated webcam and stereo speakers among other things. You can also choose between Windows XP Home and Linux.
When being compared to Eee, there are some aspects that the Wind may come as lacking such as the latter's slower performance, lack of Dolby audio system, and the vulnerability of being heavily damaged after being dropped. On the plus side, the Wind has four times the capacity of an Eee and has a full-sized keyboard.
The price can also be a bit of a turn off. The Windows XP model costs over US$550, even more expensive than some of MSI's laptops.
Despite some of its features being pale in comparison to other contemporary sub-notebook, the MSI Wind can still hold on its own especially for those who use the keyboard more often such as bloggers.
