Hello people :D
How are you?

When I was reading this thread කඩ්ඩ හදාගමු ද ? , suddenly this idea popped into my mind.

How about an ENGLISH ONLY CHAT thread in EK, for everyone who need to improve their English.
In fact, I need to improve my English too.

Literally, Talk about anything,

Including,

Ur ideas, Views, Thoughts, Doubts regarding English, English material, New phrases and idioms.. etc

No matter ur an expert or not, if you like to learn you should try, so chat about anything. Others will help to correct you and also they will learn something from you.

Always try to bring up new words in ur chat.
Hope you will find this interesting and everyone will join. :) And I need ur ideas as well.

One and only rule here
USE ONLY ENGLISH
:)

Cheers
~~~
If you need a good vocabulary, and if you wanna learn how to speak grammatically correct, easily and automatically. This is what you need to do:
1. Never try to remember grammar rules. Never study them!.
You know this is true because you have learned English for many years already, but you still can't speech English right? You went many English classes, but you still don't speak English. But why?
Well, read carefully. This is very impotent thing, and I'll tell you why.
When you're speaking English, you don't have time to think about grammar (Pass tense or present perfect, and keeping the verb in present because you are using a helping word and bla bla craps).
You need to speak automatically with grammatically correct.
I'm a British council student, and BC crew has many magical methods to teach English, and I highly recommend BC, cz it is the best place for you if you really wanna learn English.
This is a top rule of them. (But only for speaking, not for writing)
I know the course is very expensive, but if you don't have money: Go to the youtube.com and search "Effortless English" and watch all the English lessons of A.J. Hoges.
Here is a video about this rule.
2. Don't try to memories only a single word, try to remember the whole phrase. :yes:
Take a look of this video.
This guy will teach you how to speak English as a native English speaker.
Find more videos of his. Good Luck :D
    Boozing in public not an offence: Magistrate
    WEDNESDAY, 02 JULY 2014 18:18
    Pugoda Magistrate and Additional District Judge Ms. Indika Kalingawansa told courts today that people had the freedom to consume liquor in public.
    She said they could not be arrested when they go about after having drinks, but could be arrested only if they misbehaved and caused a nuisance to the public. In such instances the police have the right to apprehend them, she said.
    These views were expressed by the magistrate while acquitting three suspects who were produced in courts for consuming liquor in a public place.
    The prosecution was led by SI Lal Ranjith, Sergeant Chandrapala of the Pugoda police. (Upali Ranaweera)
