Yes , good Idea, If you know the use of english, see tourist guide, they know how to communicate with tourists in english. They have ability talk in english with tourists because of use of english. Sinhalese tourist guides know how to use english better than sinhalese, At the beginning , not to worry about grammar of english, because even english of tourists also have not good english grammar.

It looks to be a great thread as I believe that this will allow all of us to share our knowledge within our community.

I will try my best to let you all know how I managed to learn the nuts and bolts of English with the proper process of relating Sinhala with English. (But not now)

I know that many of you will disagree with me, especially with the way I approached the art of learning English. It was basically based on Grammatical learning and it was "awesome" for me. But I do not like to call it "practising" because it was more of a "Game" for me, which in the end became a highly interesting part of my life.

For those who are more familiar with a logical thinking pattern, I believe that my way of learning will suit really well. I hope to provide my experience in the near future. Good Night guys!

A main thing as i feel is you have to speak it out. other wise you couldnt talk even though you can chat in english. Chatting is fine, you can line up your ideas when you are chatting, but speaking is a different activities which need more effort.

I suggest to build up a live forum to talk each other in english. no matter how other person's english. if we can start talking, it will take us in to the next stage.
