This is for people who are new to the forum
This is just what I feel what a thread in a responsible Forum like Elakiri should be
It is better to read the rules, the forum rules of Elakiri before you put any posts
(now don't ask me what is in the rules coz I have never read it
)
Any hint to any person or any particular thread is purely unintentional.
1.
The First, or the Golden Rule, for posters who post in already existing threads is
To Read what the Thread says (or shows) and comment accorindgly
Do not just comment (it is okay if you wanna be the first to post in a thread
)
E.g. If a thread asks for nice places in Sri Lanka it is stupid to give nice places in other countires
unless someone asks for it
2.
When you are putting a new thread always make sure that there is a good reason for your thread.
E.g. If you want to know when a cricket match starts it is almost unnecesary to put a thread merely to ask this.
What you can do is that you can ask from another Elakiri member (your friends....).
And also threads which ask for help should be posted in Elakiri Help section normally.
3.
The title of a thread is a very important thing.
Make sure your title (unless it is a joke thread) tells briefly what to expect from you thread
Don't put undecent words in the title because many people involuntarily will see the title.
4.
It is better if you state the objective of your thread very clearly at the start.
E.g. If you want to get pictures of peoples' pets, then say so in a clear way without giving a big description of your pet and then in the end telling poeple to post images of their pets.
The objective of your thread should be clear at a glance.
5.
Post a small image or two to further enrichen your thread if possible.
6.
Do not insult anything, whether it be bad or not, in an undecent way. Do not use undecent language in this forum.
And do not directly or indirectly show undecent stuff in this forum.
7.
And also remember to add reputation points if you like a thread or it it is very undecent.
Note that anything told here is my opinion and may not necessary have to be the same as your opinions and also that it may not exactly be the same opinions of Elakiri.com.
