Look man, you haven't understood the post, According to EVC's predictions, the economy is currently recovering and will be fully recovered in near future.. Then why the heck the vehicle prices should go up in future? If economy is recovered in future, the government can lift the ban.. More money will flow into the country. Then vehicle prices should be at least stable at current rate. But this man says prices will go up in future.

Hmm, I've read some modules regarding the economy in my degree, and I have some knowledge regarding the economic process and market behavior. And I can understand the meanings of EVCs comments and assure you that nothing contradicts. Recovering means the recovery process, and we are not yet strong enough to lift those import restrictions.

He is talking about 'current' economic situation and giving predictions on 'future' prices. If currently recovering, it should be recovered in future. If that happens, future prices should be same or less than current prices. Either he lies on current situation. Or he is giving wrong predictions on future prices. You don't have to read all the Econ books to understand this simple theory.
