    that's a possibility,

    But, I tested with Prime95 and for past 10 minutes CPU Temp was below 70 degrees, and around 65 degrees, is it too hot to freeze the system. My BIOS auto shutdown temp is set to 80 degrees.

    since we are also talking about problems also, I am currently having a very unpleasant problem,

    My home system configuration as follows:
    Main board : Foxconn P4M800P7MA
    RAM : 1G DDR2
    Processor : 3GHz PIV HT
    VGA : Asus N7600GS
    Has 2 Hard disk drives + 1 DVD RW
    Stock Power supply

    The problem is my system freezes when I play a game. At first it kept freezing very badly so I cleaned applied new thermal paste to CPU heat sink and it seems to be working for few months.

    When I turned it on yesterday morning it froze just when I started my browser, and It happened twice and then I just tried disconnecting and re-connecting motherboard power supply and after that It worked and still it keeps freezing when a game is loaded.

    Currently according to this mess I can't figure out what is the issue going on, may be is that due to insufficient power?

    Any help is appreciated.

    in my view, there should be something wrong with your cooling procedure (Fans, Heat sink compound etc;)

    I don't think there is a prob with your PSU :no:
    If yes, I wonder HOW :confused:

    bring new cruet of Thermal Paste & apply ;)

    Can you, for a change, type proper English? This is not SMSing, you know :rolleyes:

    @Henderson

    Make sure your CPU and RAM are stable. Run OCCT for couple of hours to test the CPU and run Memtest86+ (from bootable disk) to check RAM. After that, run a hard disk scan from HDTune or the official software for the hard disk (you have to do this AFTER checking the RAM). If everything works fine, try a different IDE cable for the hard disk.

    I don't think you have a overheating issue.

    Edit: I just saw this:

    You definitely DON'T have a overheating issue, especially if it is not overclocked.

    If could be a PSU issue, but can't say for sure before testing others.

    thank you very much for your comments,

    Anusha, I will run those tests and see whether what's the problem is. And My HDD doesn't have a IDE cable It's a SATA disk.

    Today I purchased

    E4600 Processor
    Foxconn Main board
    1G of DDR2
    Mercury 450W PSU

    I had to purchase those Items in urgency so I did not able to check multiple places and only that shop was open today.

    and cost for those Items were 25150, Is it too costly or price is OK?

    in simple,

    Dual Core = 2 Processors (not physically)

    Core2Duo = Intel's CPU

    PS: C2D is also a DualCore Processor

    additionally, I guess Dual core has 2 cache memories and C2D has one cache(normally a big one) memory which is better than hving 2. cuz da processor can directly access cache data(which is fast) than separately looking for 2 caches(which is slow);

    hmm... sure naa ithin mama danna taramin ehemai..
