Jst 40GB. Have another 40GB fails after using for some minutes due to heat.

No I dont want to loose my burner or have a handicapped burner without burning anything!

How would you lose the burner? You better use it while the warranty lasts, so that if a problem comes up, it comes up before the warranty expires.

The other hd is a Western Digital crap, it gives some shuttering sounds and fails. I transferred data by placing a stainless steel lunch box filled with water and ice cubes, over it. For hours, coz had take it off due to overcooling, still some data left to be moved.

Data was so important for me, So I used the old logic of putting hd's inside freezers to an extreme level and it was worth the try. You know, somethings have to be done at any cost. :D

The last time i used GoBack, it slowed things down. I don't want to live like that.

Anyway, I need to buy some new DVDRs to burn my data. You know, I just tried to copy a movie from a Princo DVD I burned about a year ago, and it could be read. I will never buy cheap DVDs again!!!

No no. I wasn't talking about a portable drive. I was talking about an enclosure to cover the whole hard drive. I already have a 160GB PATA HDD that needs to be taken out.
