Super-cruise - can go supersonic without lighting the engine afterburner (more fuel efficient)


over the horizon targeting - target does not have to be in sight of the radar. it can lock in to targets over the horizon release missile. the missile are "fire and forget" meaning the launch aircraft doesnt have to stay course until the missile hits.


can hover like a helicopter and there's no time limit. for example the Harrier from UK cant hover more than few minutes, which will cause the engines to overheat.
