    Only 2 gb bro
    I have the same motherboard.
what ever the manufacture Intel 945 chipset support 2gb only.
If you want 4gb then go for foxconn g31 chip set.
the Bord is around Rs5800 now

If it is supporting 2gb slot then you can have 3gb configuration. But it eliminates the dual Chanel configuration.
Since you have a 1gb already putting another 2 GB(i am sure you cant) will make 2gb in dual Chanel and 1gb in single Chanel configuration.
To get the maximum performance ram need to be in dual Chanel

To get 4GB Ram you have to use 2GB + 2GB DIMMS. you cannot use 1GB + 3GB on this board.
Also I believe this board supports only same capacity DIMSS on both slots so you wont be able to use 1GB + 2GB and get a total of 3GB.

if it support 2gb slots then the motherboard supports 3gb .no problem
