Simply if I buy the game from EA and copy and paste the CPY files, can I play the game? Will it be recognized? Did the files came from the origin download?
Another good example is Assassin's Creed Unity. There are two versions. The Steam one and the ubisofts' Uplay one.
I had the steam files and I gave it to a guy who purchased the game from uplay. He copied the files but he had to download another 2gb of files cause the version was not the same. I mean the files...
