Good specifics for a Laptop

Hey, i'm in dire need for some help on specifications for a good laptop.

I want to buy a lappy that's gaming compatible, and it should have a reasonably long battery life with loads of free hard disk space..

anyone have any ideas??? any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
