Government reveals plan to allow ‘digital nomads’ to work remotely in NZ

The Government will allow visitors to work remotely for a foreign employer while holidaying in New Zealand.

Immigration Minister Erica Stanford announced on Monday the change to the visitor visa settings will allow visitors to extend their stays, which will lead to more money being spent in the country. Anyone who intends to work remotely in the country for more than 90 days would be encouraged to consider possible tax implications, she said.

unless there's a pathway to citizenship, I ain't doing digital nomad visa in any expensive country even if I have a full remote job. a few weeks probably is the limit imo. it's not like the taxes are good in NZ anyway
