search online for an E book called learning guitar for dummies...It's a PDF tutorial which will teach you everything from scratch.I learned to play guitar without attending a single class & 6 months later,now i can play almost all the chords & any song..If you have a basic knowledge in music,it will help you a bit & with a bit of self motivation you can nail the chords in no time.It took me just 6 days to learn the basic major & minor chords & about a month of learning to get the barre chords.So try it out
