HD video playing problem?

    speed 2.8 GHz

    smahara welawata HD video (elakiri eke thiyena HD songs) play karana kota video eke podi slow weemak penawa.(delay)
    720 resolution ewa normal play wenawa danenawa(but podi slow weemak enawa,samahara frames skip wenawa)
    1080 resolution ewa num play wennema nee.still pictures maru wenne sound play unata.

    mehema wenne mokada?
    windows media player ekatath wada VLC eke meka wenawa.

    so whats good player for playing HD video properly?mama hithanne mage computer eke performance num mekata wadith ekka athi.mokak hari software seen ekak thiyenne:(:(:(

    Update your Windows Media Player to the latest. It should be Windows Media Player 11 or later. Do not use other players like VLC or any other thing. Windows Media format works best in the Windows Media Player.

    And in the other hand your computer configuration might not enough for 1080p video if your processor is a 2.8 Pentium 4 or equivalent. Anyway i still belive turning off other background programs like virus scanners etc.. might help to increase the playability.

    (to play 1080p video)

    DirectX 9.0
    1.8 GHz Intel Core Duo or higher processor (or equivalent);
    3.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or higher processor (or equivalent)
    512 MB of RAM
    128 MB video card
    1920 x 1080 or more screen resolution
    24-bit 96 kHz multichannel sound card
    5.1 or higher surround sound speaker system
