Machan superb ! This is by far the best hotel I have experienced.We stayed in the same room for our wedding anniversary. It was a surprise from me to my wife. If you are going for something like a anniversary or a B'day celebration with your better half let them know about it, they will usually give you and upgrade and probably arrange a Cake too.. Make sure you lock the windows tight as the monkeys always try to get in looking for food. I love Kandalama, hope to stay there for a day or two when we come down to SL

Exactly bro...this is one of My Honeymoon Destination in SL too.

Yeah, We stayed in few of the costal hotels for our honeymoon as we like the sea a lot, but Kandalama is totally different,Best to go on a Friday night or a Saturday as the buffet seems to be at it's best ! Usually lunch goes on "a la carte" as most of the guests leave hotel to see places like anuradhapura.
