ROCK for sure
But hey i's not right to say either rock or hip-hop z best cuz the 2 are complete different cultures but something to look at is that both are music
If anyone has watched Collision Course by LP n Jay-Z, u can unerstand what it could be done w/ integration of the two
Rock to me z gud cuz it has so much in it, like to me hip-hop all about one theme all the time & infact it's about American black people (not wanna make a clear statement & discrimination)but when u say rock it covers whole big area than hip-hop.
Also hip-hop z not hip-hop if it is produced out side US
Cuz i's basically a culture, a value a practise certain peoiple did in US
So that's goes to show the spread of the rock & hip-hop.
Other hand rock music can be used to express any kinda situation w/ true feelings w/ "MUSIC" only unlike hip-hop it's more or less w/ the lyrics then again goes to show it's lingustic side
About the popularity & demand, well rock has a high demand in Movie industry & I honestly don't know about the money which is been made between hip=hop n rock.
One more thing, don't mis-interpret RnB & Hip-Hop, they are again 2 different things
