How do Linpack Heat You CPU More than Prime95

    Well...all i need to do was a simple test, I used this little program called Perfmon that actually Display Howmany Instructions are Retired and How many Instructions the processor runs per Clock cycle...and the results are below

    This is Intel Burn test based on Linpack Running, Notice the IPC (instructions per Cycle is 2.4) means the processor is executing 2.4 instructions per one cycle and there are about 8500 Retired instructions any given moment.

    Now look at the same thing with Prime95

    On Prime95 its only Executing 1.5 instruction per cycle... Thus the reduced heat

    now i wonder Why every programmer out there cant make use of all that wasted clock cycles these processors have.

    lol and the other thing is if every program uses the CPU like linpack we will all need super duper cooling all the time

    Maybe not at stock :D
