hmmm I've been doing something thinking ...i guess atula's point is that we should let things stay the way they are...we don't try to change a thing.(even though others do change them). so may be someday things may fall in the right place, chips may fall where they may/belong. good point but less practical.

Anithya is in everything... just we are not aware of it.
One who is aware would sense things better.
In everything we enjoy change... in music, in movies, in cricket... we are constantly in search of Anithya...
When something become nithya, constant we become bored... like a Maiden over.

Sri Lanka was overjoyed with the world cup win.
    How long it lasted.

    Now where are the heroes?

How do you feel about them.

    Compare what you felt then
and how do you feel now.
    Arjuna we see now
do not stimulate the emotions he evoked in us then.

    :D
    War is over,
    Prabhakaran is dead.
    LTTE is wiped out.

Now there is joy all around..

    How long it would last.
Check it from day to day.

The nature of Sankhara is decay.
    Vaya dhamma sankhaara

    Anithya
    Change.

Why do you get so excited about something so temporary
and become someone worse than you.
    Aren't you bad enough.

hehe.. my dear friend i want to tell you one thing... you are making a lot of friends through this kind of posts

And for your information Athula, I still have & carry within myself the joy of winning the world cup, way back 1996..........& I'm sure I will carry memories of that, crushing LTTE & the moment the President kiss the soil of the Mother land along with few of my personal memories to my grave.........buddy, you talk about buddism, because you dont practice it, you talk about Anithyaya.........because you are depressed.......you are sucidal mate........go & seek professional help!!!

BTW You are experiencing writer's block as well arent you? Tell me the last time you drew a comic?

Being aware of breath is not concentrating on breath. They are diametrically opposite.
If you can be aware of your breath, along with what you are doing your mind will be pure and more powerful..and your work will have more depth.
What I am going to say may be too much for Elakiri... but since you raise the question I will say.
It is said that what ever an arhanth does he is aware of his breath, effortlessly because he has eradicated all the defilements from his mind. We have to use effort for when we are aware of breath defilements start being eradicated.. making our mind purer... That is how being aware of breath helps.
One can celebrate being aware of it...
Walking and walking with awareness are different. Models on the ramp walk with awareness of walking..
Dancer moves with awareness of the movements of the body and music too... Are they easy... can be done by any?
    Awareness makes the difference.
Arahath is not not too much or too big to elakiri. At least OL passed ppl visit here. :D
If you are going to do what arahath person doing why worry about politicians fooling people about LTTE? And why worrying so much over war wins. And tell that war will start again. Why worrying about people celebrating over war wins? You wanna make them also reach nibbana soon? Or show the path to nibbana? :D

nah. he has no point. He just played some words on the feelings and is now watching the reaction to it in glee.
sri_lion said it best, he just gave a square and a circle to relate and now everyone is doing their best to relate the two while he's laughing his ass off.

what answer, he's slippery than an eel when it comes to answers. He'll just ease away without really answering any question.
Oh, and he's probably busy creating more threads to rile up the idiots and start firing left and right. :P

The theory of anithya is common for everything. Everything lasts. But it doesn't mean that we shouldn't celebrate our victory. Yeah, one day we may forget our heroes. But we will feel the freedom we got because of them for years. That's why we should celebrate this. I'm very sorry to see that you are trying to get the advantage of this theory by using it mixed with your stupid ideas. We won. Don't celebrate if you are not happy about this.
