Today I received this gadget from the bank (DBS in Singapore).

They already provide a very feature-rich app with 2FA enabled.

SL banks think they can just fuck around with people's money.
I think all banks should provide proper online banking facilities/OTP/2FA stuff.

Commercial bank's online banking system goes offline very frequently. These people should understand that the high availability is important for a banking system. Also they should provide enough security features to protect people's money.

ඒකනම් එහෙම තමා. උබ log වෙලා මුදල් හුවමාරුවක් කරද්දිවත් otp එන්නේ නැද්ද HSBC එකට log උනාට මුදල් හුවමාරු කරලා නෑ. Commercial එකේ නම් log වෙන්න otp ආවේ නැති උනාට transaction එකකදී OTP එනවා. ඒකනිසා අවුලක් නෑ.

I remember them marketing something looks like pen drive. However you can get industry standard services with HSBC. but since most banks don’t prioritize this type of services, hsbc probably doesn’t have any competition in this domain. Which is probably why we have to settle with shitty interest rates if we go down that path.
