I am a tech enthusiast and have been through many phones in the past. Have done everything under the sun with my phones including installing Windows (Pc version) on some of my Android phones. Here are my two cents
If you want a phone that will work for many years to come the same way the day you bought it. If you value reliability and stability, then always go with the Apple ecosystem. This however comes at the cost of some restrictions.
If you want to play around with your phone and DO WHATEVER WITH IT AS YOU PLEASE, then go for an Andriod phone. Obviously there are many to choose from. This comes at the cost of.... you guessed it, crappy performance overtime. Yes you can maintain your phone in a way that so you can avoid this. But what the hell is the point of getting an Andriod phone if you can't use it as an Andriod phone?
I lived in both worlds for many years.
The older I became, reliability and stability became more important to me. Currently, I am with the Apple ecosystem.

So... apple ecosystem is just that. Invisible. You don't feel like it's there but it will add a layer of technology to your life.
