And why are u Blaming ur KVR's for ur CPU's Heating issue LMAO
Yeah it is weird when RAM is not his limiting factor! Even I thought RAM would be my limiting factor, but no, the CPU is at max clocks it can run stably. Northbridge can't handle much more RAM clocks. So RAM NOT my limiting factor even though they run only at 812MHz currently.

Usaid ur ram is @ 900Mhz but ur FSB 390Mhz r u not running it 1:1 u should lower the multiplier to 7 and set the FSB to 457 (To attain 3.2GHz prividing this is the best ur CPU can go)to get the maximum performance out of the RAM and the FSB (Providing ur KVR's can do 914Mhz) My KVR's work up to 950MHz on 2Volts

No it is running 4:5 ratio, I dont think kvr can handle 1:1 at that clocks
ok thanks ill try, but this is more than enough for me

Ididn't change any nb Voltages , it is in auto
thats ok ne?

Well, don't set things to AUTO because the mobo usually increases the voltages ridiculously if it is feels "this much" is needed to run stably. If I now set mine to AUTO, I'm sure it will use max voltage of 1.7V, but actually it is all stable at minimum of 1.25V :D

Jeez! Are you out of your mind? 1:1 (or rather 1:2 with RAM: FSB) will lower the RAM clocks to 360MHz (or DDR2-720)

:D :D I was trying to get the max clocks for the Ram at 3.2 for the CPU that is how did i get 900Mhz for Ram:D

Why, if processor fails with burn marks and computer shop found out it is overclocked you won't get warranty.

He he
my cpu doesn't have any warranty , I got it directly from Malaysia(new q6600 are made there) :D that's why I'm doin things carefully :D

But you can have the RAM at 900MHz and the CPU at 3.6GHz :/
Although I'm not sure if it will hit 3.6GHz. It depends entirely on luck. You don't seem to have a wonder chip, as you are already past 1.4V (in BIOS) I think. Wonder chips can get u to 3.6GHz at around 1.25V :-O

Every Intel CPU is assembled in Malaysia for all I know :/

then it's alright to overclock:D, since you don't have warranty there is nothing to loose.
Um! If you don't have warranty, shouldn't you be more careful???? :/

I tried it but failed

You need ridiculously high voltage to run at 3.6GHz if you don't have a wonder chip. But did it (3.2GHz) pass IntelBurnTest max stress for about 10 loops? What were the temps? (would be better if you have 64bit)

not yet bro.

but i played grid for 3 hrs and the max temp was 52 c, ran toast for 5 hrs and almost the same

Yes, But you don't want to worry about burn marks and stuff, since if it fails with or without burn marks it doesn't matter, if it burns it's all over.
CPU's don't burn with burn marks unless you put it into the hearth :/

The current lines just blow up because of electron migration, if too much voltage is applied. High temps will not toast a CPU, because there are safety measures in CPUs to prevent that from happening.
