I'm playing with my new CPU and motherboard these days, not much but I'm really happy with these results, I could tweak more (cpu to 4GHz...) if i had a good cooling system instead of the stock intel cooler.

I was able to get 3.2GHz for the CPU and 450Mhz (900MHz)!!!!!!!!! for the Dram.
Idle CPU temperature of the CPU after OCing was 42C and 52C on Full load.
I ran memtest only for 20mins as they recommend.

Please post your comments and suggestions to get the best out of my machine with stock cooling.

    Where I'm now
 U havent even reached `333 FSB strap yet :P
    333 x 10 =3330 MHz
U r on SLACR not SL9UM so less heat issues and more stable.3.6 is the mark for a Q6600 G0 heat problems. So many come to 3.4GHz.Even ambient is 30C You should be able to cover it.And with proper cooling if u mean LN pot or something anyone can get to 4GHz.:P The object is doing it on KVR.
    Just use a
    FSB of 425 x 8,A VID of 1.40~1.45V,
    or the easy way .400 x 9 ,1.425 or 1.396
    or 370~380 x 9 ,1.375V.

And Prime95 X64 and mutithreaded are available.Run the damn thing without superPI 1.5 XS mod.It is still single threaded. If its prime stable.Thats good for something.
An I would really like to see a Q6600 on 4+ GHZ with KVR.

Dude try running IntelBurnTest on that :D

Well, he says his KVRs run at 450MHz. 450x9 = 4.05GHz :D He just needs to his CPU clocks up with 2x RAM multi.

    LOL.Hey Anusha,How is your E7200 doin?Can we get a multithreaded prime 95 on a 3.% GHz + OC on that ? :D
BTW E 7400 is gonna come and yours just gonna drop to 113USd on 10-19-08.:D Gotta love that rate :D

It's doing 3.85GHz at 1.392V in CPU-Z (1.45V in BIOS *I think* - Vcore cannot be set on Penryns with this BIOS and Asus aren't doing anything about it) :/
Newer models do not seem to hit the 4GHz consistently as the first batches :(

It ran IntelBurnTest for about 1 hour (~50 minutes) and that's as enough stability as I need for myself :D

Vdroop or as ASUS always have , reporting a wrong VID in BIOS? Howabout those ASUS tools reporting in Windows?

This time around, I'm glad the VDroop is there!!! If not for it, the CPU would be running over 1.4V and that is dangerous for the 45nm's!!!

It's an old P5B-E. Cooled using an Asus cooler. Not very good, but good enough.

Hey man What are you talking about? this is a Q6600, Maximum Cpu multiplier is 9 so how can it be 333*10 ?
AFAIK No one can set the CPU multiplier on q6600 above 9 unless it is a qx6600:P which doesn't exist :D

I have reached 360Mhz on the FSB so the new speed is 360*9=3240 Mhz check the Cpu z

Yes I can push more because the maximum temp reading i got on Full load was 52C but i dont like it without having a good cooling solution as it will effect the life span. And I m waiting for a new ram kit :D, coz KVR is a piece of shitt hehe.

ok ill run the prime 95 , f*ck KVR im gonna buy a new ram kit:-)( ). lets c.

    Thanks

Oops.My bad.I had my dreamy Q6700 in mind. But the voltages ae correct .Just ignore the 10x multis.the 9 and 8 x multis are gonna be correct.

Usaid ur ram is @ 900Mhz but ur FSB 390Mhz r u not running it 1:1 u should lower the multiplier to 7 and set the FSB to 457 (To attain 3.2GHz prividing this is the best ur CPU can go)to get the maximum performance out of the RAM and the FSB (Providing ur KVR's can do 914Mhz) My KVR's work up to 950MHz on 2Volts
