you can study IT

you can study academic programs(Diploma, BSc) or professional programs

many people in the IT industry do both(academic & professional)

Professional Programs in networking:

CompTIA Network+

http://www.comptia.org/

Cisco offers many certifications (CCNA etc.)

http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/learning_career_certifications_and_learning_paths_home.html

Microsoft
offers many certifications (MCTS etc.)

http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/certifications.mspx/

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Certified_Professional

there are so many other professional IT qualifications(A+, CISSP etc.)

list:

me wage course A/L nathuwa karanna puluwanda?

anyway thanks for ur informations:) :) :)

for professional qualifications(CCNA,Network+,Microsoft) there are no requirements

for Diploma/Degree programs the requirements vary from institute to institute

with O/L you can get in

even without O/L you can get started

here in the UK young people can't get enough GCSE's so they do foundation programs to qualify for college

Here's my personal suggestion to you!

There's no point of doing certification courses here and there, go for a Degree that's the best start after A/L's

Doing small courses here and there wont get you anywhere, they will waste your money, waste your time!

By the time you go to work you will find out that people with Degrees are preferred more, paid more... and then you start to think about doing a degree but you've already wasted a lot of money and time!!

So if possible go for a reputable DEGREE PROGRAM!!
