Even though your foul month can say that, 99% this country will disagree demolishing a Catholic church legal or not. Also, your foul month should know that the Soysapura church was the first church built there and your panic assed Buddhists ran around building illegal temples around the place. How many temples at Soysapura have deeds?



My dear friends and Christians,

This thread has indeed bought forward many aspects of people. It is very clear that the Catholic Church and whole of Christianity is under somewhat attack from some Buddhists and some unlawful people. I pointed a finger, and I see now how many others point fingers at us, if you read this thread you will see how they attacked the church instead of me.

There are a lot of bad people at Elakiri.com... Mainly because they have no respect for the other religions basing the "Catholic Killing spree"... Remember that is is the Dutch that did it. They were a set of extremists. Now seeing the responses of many Buddhists here I beg to see a difference between the Dutch and these idiotic Buddhists who say a church is "STUPID STRUCTURE"... is this what religion of Buddha has thought these people???

Ofcourse the Police officer knows how not to leave hard evidence. These are sensitive things which no office wants to take part off.

Also macho, just so you know, the second buddhist statue at Thuduwanmulla Road was the location a Mother Mary statue was kept. The local minister forcefully removed it and took it away in a garbage truck (he owns the Garbage dump). Later he was the person that installed the statue. These are things we saw to our eyes. Its hard to be-leave there is no ISSUE.

everyone has their own religion.and at times they may feel threatened thinking that because of their religion/race. like african american people in America.whenever they get caught with some fine or misjudgment,all they ask is "am I wrong because of I'm black?" don't use that way machan.
besides don't expect more former way with the officials,best thing is to clear your own ways.


Try using a normal(without any lights) cross blessed by a church and fix it.

I made a LED blue cross by myself and installed it on the face of my moped motorbike. I've been riding with it on for the last several months without issue. But today a certain unit of Police officers stopped me and fined me for having a "Extra lamp" and told me to remove the cross from my bike. The cross has been epoxy glued (Welded) to my bike face.

Mama Nil LED walin Kurusayak haduwa, Mama eka mage bike ekke mune weld karala wage yakada alawana gum walin fit kara. Mama dan bike ekka masa ganak kisi police case ekkak nathuwa padda. Eth today mawa police unit ekken nawathhala "Athereka pahan dal wi ma" kiyala dadayak gahuwa. Mata police ekka kiyanawa Kuruse galawala danna lu.

Mokak da me jara wade... Mama one tharam wahana dakala thiyenawa "Budu saranai kiyala wind screen eke LED walin hadala thiyenawa. Thuk mehema jara ratak, Katholika apita thama okkoma gas dan.

This is dirty work and attacking for Catholic's... i have seen many cars, vans, lorries displaying LED "Budda" things.... Why not cross? Its is because this is a Buddhist country?? I will never remove my cross. As a Catholic, it symbolizes our life, and Jesus Christ. They and fry my Driving License in a frying pan, But I have the right to express my religion as any other person.

23 years we fought because of Nationality.... are we going to spend the next 23 fighting for religion?

EDIT:

1. LED brightness does not travel a long distance, its really impossible to say that my cross caused the persons vision to be upset.... Now if I placed another Halogen blub, then yes. I will be wrong.

2. The law was put in place to stop bright lights from blinding on coming vehicles. And to avoid three wheelers from looking like pickup trucks etc.

3. If you'll have seen Mate bikes with the bracket in-front... remember they have TWO head lights out of their manufacturer spec. And that would be a even worse offense!

4. I ride my bike over 2000KM/s a month around Colombo and out of Colombo, I have had run into various police officers and NONE ever said anything about a extra lamp, LED can barely be visible if a put the Head beam... I ride normally on the dip. To be a lamp it must illuminate the road... my cross is not a bright light to do that.

5. A Buddhist Police officer can make a exception to a law if it was a LED "Darma Chakraya" considering its their religion symbol. It would be the same if the Police officer was Catholic. Really, the law is there to stop Accidents, Police can depict the law the way they want it.

I am not a idiot, I know if my LED lights are a distraction. If they are flashing/changing color... yes. But they are not. Also from the officers tone he spoke he was not enforcing the law... he was enforcing his attack and hate on the Cross... there are a lot of Buddhist who now say "Kuruse Adahana Wesige Putha"... I do social work so I'm in preview of some peoples extremism on "This is a Buddhist only country". I am afraid that when these people see a cross they really do get distracted... nothing to be done about that.


Conclusion : At the end of the day, I gathered a lot about our fellow Elakiri people! As it seems everyone wants to say go by the law. But only because it is advice to another person. If a lit cross was a crime I cannot imagine what the law has come too anyway. How it was nothing more than to inconvenience people. If putting a cross is fashion, its wrong... if its for faith its no issue. Thank fully I have not broken the law. But there are many vehicles that are breaking it. Btw, I really hate Sinhala text... the iss pilla's and stuff are messed up. There is a strong Buddhist - Catholic issue in Moratuwa being caused by higher positions in the Buddhist side. Hopefully they will be rectified very soon. Instead of trying to say I AM BAD, just take a few calls and look into these issues from your channels...

I made a LED blue cross by myself and installed it on the face of my moped motorbike. I've been riding with it on for the last several months without issue. But today a certain unit of Police officers stopped me and fined me for having a "Extra lamp" and told me to remove the cross from my bike. The cross has been epoxy glued (Welded) to my bike face.

Mokak da me jara wade... Mama one tharam wahana dakala thiyenawa "Budu saranai kiyala wind screen eke LED walin hadala thiyenawa. Thuk mehema jara ratak, Katholika apita thama okkoma gas dan.

This is dirty work and attacking for Catholic's... i have seen many cars, vans, lorries displaying LED "Budda" things.... Why not cross? Its is because this is a Buddhist country?? I will never remove my cross. As a Catholic, it symbolizes our life, and Jesus Christ. They and fry my Driving License in a frying pan, But I have the right to express my religion as any other person.

23 years we fought because of Nationality.... are we going to spend the next 23 fighting for religion?

EDIT:

1. LED brightness does not travel a long distance, its really impossible to say that my cross caused the persons vision to be upset.... Now if I placed another Halogen blub, then yes. I will be wrong.

2. The law was put in place to stop bright lights from blinding on coming vehicles. And to avoid three wheelers from looking like pickup trucks etc.

3. If you'll have seen Mate bikes with the bracket in-front... remember they have TWO head lights out of their manufacturer spec. And that would be a even worse offense!

4. I ride my bike over 2000KM/s a month around Colombo and out of Colombo, I have had run into various police officers and NONE ever said anything about a extra lamp, LED can barely be visible if a put the Head beam... I ride normally on the dip. To be a lamp it must illuminate the road... my cross is not a bright light to do that.

5. A Buddhist Police officer can make a exception to a law if it was a LED "Darma Chakraya" considering its their religion symbol. It would be the same if the Police officer was Catholic. Really, the law is there to stop Accidents, Police can depict the law the way they want it.

I am not a idiot, I know if my LED lights are a distraction. If they are flashing/changing color... yes. But they are not. Also from the officers tone he spoke he was not enforcing the law... he was enforcing his attack and hate on the Cross... there are a lot of Buddhist who now say "Kuruse Adahana Wesige Putha"... I do social work so I'm in preview of some peoples extremism on "This is a Buddhist only country". I am afraid that when these people see a cross they really do get distracted... nothing to be done about that.


Conclusion : At the end of the day, I gathered a lot about our fellow Elakiri people! As it seems everyone wants to say go by the law. But only because it is advice to another person. If a lit cross was a crime I cannot imagine what the law has come too anyway. How it was nothing more than to inconvenience people. If putting a cross is fashion, its wrong... if its for faith its no issue. Thank fully I have not broken the law. But there are many vehicles that are breaking it. Btw, I really hate Sinhala text... the iss pilla's and stuff are messed up. There is a strong Buddhist - Catholic issue in Moratuwa being caused by higher positions in the Buddhist side. Hopefully they will be rectified very soon. Instead of trying to say I AM BAD, just take a few calls and look into these issues from your channels...

well this is true. Im also aware of these issues at Moratuwa. Did you know chirantha7777 that some people had a clash because of these Lord Buddha shrines? I'm sorry for what happened to you as a Buddhist, ppl always had issue wit other religions but these Political ppl have put fuel to it. The clash was Buddhist with Buddhist coz did u know it is not right to build statues in unsuited places. Both thse Shrines are built near taxi stands were ppl smoke and use bad words etc. Its not good wat they did. No more shrines will be built, coz the Priminister has told to stop it at once.

5) එළකිරි සාමාජිකයින් ක්‍රිස්තියානි ආගමට කැමතිද නැද්ද යන්න ඔවුනොවුන් සතුයි මම ඔවුන්ගේ නිදර්ශකයක් හෝ ඔවුන් වෙනුවෙන් ඉදිරිපත් වුන කෙනෙක් වත් නොවෙමි..... මා ප්‍රතිපත්තියක් හැටියට කිසි ආගමකට අපහාස කරන් නෑ,,, නමුත් තමුන් දැනගතයුතුයි තමුන් සිටින තත්වය... මතක නේද කොටින්ට වුන දෙය?? කුලී වැඩට, කම්කරු වැඩට ලංකාවට ගෙන්නපු දකුණු ඉන්දියානුවන් අවසානයේ නිජබිමක සිහින දැකපුහැටි...........සිහින සිහින පමණි.... යතාර්තය නොවේ........
