ShanX,Anusha i read your forum top 2 bottum.I think u wanna that machine 4 gaming.:confused:when it comes 2 gaming AMD performs far more better than intel.
but the parts 4 AMD are rare in SL.I am so pi**ed off @ it.[Intel is best 4 3D with its HT.It can handle pure multitasking @ that.AMD's hyper threading is best in video, audio,Gaming.I beat a 3.4 ;2MB L2,nVidia 5850 GE 256MB 64 bit,2G Kingston DDR400 with my one at video rendering:shocked:]AMD contains memory controller in tha CPU not like Intel on motheroard,So u cant talk about memory management. Also if u want a good sound,Try a board with creative onboard. It worked 4 me and it is so good. Also try Cmedia CM8838 or Realtek ALC 880 they r good 2.U wanna oerclock things?safely? then i recommend MSI.I am using MSI 4 ,5 years.Never caused me a trouble(3 PCS i'e used includes current).MSI drivers r written supporting overclocking, hardware is built 4 it.When buying parts try buying parts which goes 2 American/canadian market. They contain many optional things and they r given urnin tests verywell @ factory. So they rn't fried suddenly:sorry:.

Athlon64 performs better than Pentium-D but not even close to Core2Duo. Core2Duo is the king.

Anyway, a dual core Pentium is better than a single core Athlon64. AthlonX2s are very rare in Sri Lanka, and they are very expensive. My Core2Duo was cheaper than the 3800 X2.

If you are a gamer, it's the video card that matters really. You need a very good video card.

I'm in sort of a hurry. I will post a good reply in the evening. Over and out.

NFSC works fine with me.I finished it in about 10 hours.Anusha is great than me.Races r very easy except canyons and drifts. They r easy :-).I do not recommend this but if u r hard on cash or drifting visit www.cheathappens.com.there is a megatrainer to do the tasks.in canyon duels try to pass them 4 10 secs.i won them all y doing that.Use a MMC Lancer EVO IX or Nissan 240 SX or Skyline with full torque, full oversteer, full accel, drift tyres,Low rpm turbo for drifts.

Its true that US market products are good, but the're non existent here. Even asian market products. And Core2Duo is the best, I hav to agree when I see this month's current bill, however I'll switch over in another month :) If am lucky enough!

I've used a Cmedia CM8838 pci, but they're not much good. Now I've onboard a a something 'Realtek Hi Definition Audio', I think its ALC 880, wtever quality sounds. But Creative is better.

Drift is one of the easiest races in the game. I can almost always score more than double the points of the second highest drifter in a race.

I didn't have to change anything. The 50% option in everything worked fine. Remember this is the Corvette Z06, which is the best accelerator in the game.

Your PC isn't too bad. But you better upgrade your CPU to a 3800 X2 or higher before they are out of stock. But forget about warranty because I don't think they make these CPUs anymore.

That motherboard is a complete waste of money, if you aren't using any of the great features that motherboard offers. You have SLi and you aren't using it. You have RAID support but you aren't using it. Besides, you bought the power supply specifically for it no? So that's about 28900+5500 LKR to get the motherboard working.

MSI isn't the best motherboard maker for overclocking. Gigabyte 965P boards are the best for Intel. I don't know about Athlon64. But since you can't overclock them much, I don't think the motherboard really matters. Intel Core2Duo CPUs can reach 2000MHz FSB or even higher, if the motherboard supports it. So the motherboard plays a huge role in overclocking. Gigabyte have employed advanced power regulator circuits in their latest boards so they are better in overclocking than the rest. However, the new nVidia 680 chipset based boards pushes up the ceiling even higher.

    Where I'm now
I some times use RAID with a 8oG i have.I'm planning to have SLi Thats why i asked you whats best 4 me(not 2 much pricy).Anyway im goin 2 get an 4200x2 with the help of my uncle.U should try things 4 US market. They contain many accessories.I got a great converter cable with my VGA.with the performance i get from the mobo i've never felt that it was a waste of money.Besides who isnt like a Diamond Plus board which is the highest to any Socket from MSI??like Asus Deluxe??bro the mobo can overclock(thats the safest it give for dynamic OClock). the cpu 2 15%.if u want more there is a switch to change DDR voltage from 2.6-->4.0 V[unfortunately warrenty seal is on that jumper]my processors clock speed is 2020MHz.if i overclocked to 15% does it become 2323 MHz?Or do i have to change other Memory timers?BIOS have these options.Shan X those RAMS are the last 5 of that stock. So i got them cheap.Try the trick. It worked for me.

You will have to play with the RAM timings, because your RAM won't run at 466MHz at default timings. Don't use more than 2.8V on DDR. Higher V's are for extreme overclockers.

Converter cable? What do you mean?

I think you have misunderstood retail vs. oem for usa vs. asian or something. It's the same thing for both markets. Besides, as a company based in Taiwan/China, do you think MSI will give better products to USA than Asia? Same with Asus, Gigabyte etc.

RAM prices have gone up in the whole world btw. And they are comparable to sri lankan prices.

i'll wait until the prices become less than 10000 before buying a new motherboard to overclock my CPU. right now, this CPU is more than enough.

Then why i cant register my MOBO @ www.msi.com.tw??I can only register it in www.msicomputer.com.try visiting them.and u r right.Gigabyte oards r always cheaper for the performance. But think.Do we buy an ASUS board cause only it is luxurious in parts or better than other??No but we think that cause of its very high price its so good and because of that the value of PC goes high!!.

Why shud u register ur mobo?

I think Asus has a lot features and value for money (although EPSI sells sells value=money+money with 3yr warranty), Gigabyte means budget in Taiwanese I think... MSI i dont know.
