Eligibility Requirements - Associate Members
Required Qualifications
1. Four Year full-time Engineering Degrees Accredited by the IESL
or
2. Four Year full-time Engineering Degrees Recognized by the IESL
or
3. Non-accredited / Non-recognized Four Year Engineering Degrees / Academic Qualifications by the IESL Evaluating Academic Qualifications for AMIE (SL) by Individual Candidates (EDU-DOC-01)
or
4. A full time four-year engineering degree from a foreign university accredited under Washington Accord (Click here for more info) : (EDU-DOC-01)
and
Fulfillment of entry requirement stipulated by the IESL
For those who get enrolled for engineering degree programs with effect from 2018/05/01
Minimum of 2 “C” passes and 1 “S” pass in GCE Advanced Level (Local) in the Physical Science Stream (Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) in one and the same sitting
Minimum of 2 “B” passes and 1 “C” pass in GCE Advanced Level (Cambridge or Edexcel) covering Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in one and the same sitting
For those who have completed or enrolled for engineering degree programmes before 2018/05/01
Minimum of 3 ordinary passes in GCE Advanced Level (Local) in the Physical Science Stream (Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) or comparable passes as prescribed by the IESL in GCE Advanced Level (Cambridge or Edexcel) covering Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in one and the same sitting.
Note : Those who have completed or enrolled for engineering degree programmes before 2018/05/01 without fulfilling the minimum qualification requirement of 3 ordinary passes in GCE Advanced Level (Local) in the Physical Science Stream (Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) or comparable passes as prescribed by the IESL in GCE Advanced Level (Cambridge or Edexcel) covering Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in one and the same sitting, MUST successfully complete the IESL entry qualifying examinations before applying for the Associate Membership of the IESL (Please note that the IESL will conduct entry qualifying examinations only until 2020).
