You could be right actually I think although they started in 97 they were not very active by early 2000s they started a huge recruitment drive and things went a lot faster after that. I remember a girl who used to stay close to my house went to IFS after working at DMS and she bought a Suzuki Swift within 18 months and I was like what the f*** but now I think ifs is gone. It's never going to be the same again. Actually it's not about ifs. It's actually the whole is gone. I don't know what happened to emphasis at Orion City. That was a huge one and lot of people left ifs and went to that place. Hello, coffee is no longer there. I think they were handling call centre of air Lanka. Even WNS has dropped its quality now either they don't get much projects and every village Tom, Dick and Harry has started to go in and it's not the same vibe as it was in the early 2000s of 2010s.
Mphasis closed shop in 2014. The site and the staff were acquired by Virtusa. This was at the rear of Orion City.
Pearson was in one of the buildings but I don't know whether they still exist.
Hellocorp had a good international client base like Microsoft, AOL as well. The company was owned by a Muslim group. Namal threatened the owners and bought the company for a small amount using his black money. Then he installed some of his henchmen as managers. The company didn't last long.
The whole industry is no more. The entire rear block of Orion City (where Mphasis and Pearson was) is now unused and it's run over by trees.

Bro are u sure about this 😦 I believe you are referring to the rear building that was converted into IT offices, which previously housed the head offices of the owning management ?

I'm talking about this building: 6.941995928314845, 79.88114024544659. It was looking run down when I visited there in 2024.

I think you are talking about Bellatrix building which has a different access road within the compound.

If they have started utilising those buildings I'm happy.

i remember when IFS started in 2002 it was the hit in sri lanka. all were like very keen to get into that company. only a few lucky ones got in and the pay was very good at that time . it was in wellawatte ceylon inn hotels. they gave food and also they had lot of activities that was a new concept to sri lanka at that time, trust me there were guys who resigned from JOhn Keels and joined this place. it was the place at that time,

only kids from a certain class managed to get in due to the english barrier.,,,,royal, thomian visaka...etc.
then came virtusa and emphasis at orion city.

also WNS came at darley road. that was a hit too with almost 300 staff and they gave meals also. but now i feel sri lanka has moved on from that BPO bubble and it will die down.

good old days. when the staff started to buy cars after staying for about 1 year it was really the thing those days. remember this was when a maruti 800 was around 8 lakhs. good old days
No Brother virtusa started before IFS and itwas in Trans Asia hotel all the employees had the TransAsia buffet at the time . virtusa was previously known as is E Runner way and change name to Virtusa. and hello Cop ta that time handle Microsoft,, MSN, Yahoo, Nike customer support.( i wander how Namal brought such a tech company) as i know sri lanka oldest IT company iS EDS and name it as IOM now they stared in 1970 from IBM AS 400

good old days now its over

(Partner-Driven Sales Pipeline).

IFS already expensive and complicate ERP

සමහර products වල nature eka නිසා man to man replace කරන්න අමාරුයි ගොඩක් වෙලාවට
poka product eka ayee sell karaada? mehe set eka gedara yawanna hetuwa mokkda?

    What I think.

There are some භූමි දෝෂ in Orion city.
What ever company that enters there will not be the same.🤪
