Yesterday went to buy medicines for my mother-in-law. Nothing extra just the monthly quota.

Remember 3 4 months back I spent around 6,000 for it (including insulin and shit). This time it is 10,000+.

Some just come and ask the price and go, some just buy only for a week or so. shit scene

Was wondering how people getting a pension are going to survive at this rate.

Set ekakma left wei wage beheth ganna salli natuwa.

Most of these people are surviving from EPF/ETF savings in FDs
With inflation their hard earned money is diminishing day by day

People who work has at least chance to increase the rate like people who pluck coconut can increase the charges but retired people are helpless

Really sad scene, and situation. If it was 6000 before it should be realistically be 12000 and above, maybe there was some leftover stock, I feel really sad for them, I mean there pensions and fixed deposits literally doesn’t have any value, that’s what they live with, with the interests and etc, realistically if inflation is 100%, then interest rates should be higher, to match anything, now it’s worthless. Stupid people in this country doesn’t know what there doing.

Only expense that reduced was the fuel, I used to spend around 20,000 per month for fuel when it was around 170. If I drive that much now, I would have to spend around 50K. Lol.

Ow ban. I am WFH now. So stuck at home. Used to only travel 2 days to work and spent around the same amount you did.

Only thing that is saving us is our salaries change according to the inflation (atleast if you are pegged or paid in foreign currency.) at the rate of this inflation EPF/ETF doesn't make much sense oi.
