I don't think Sinhalese people are blaming Muslims for eating meat, Sinhalese eat meat too so how can they only blame Muslims?

Although what the hamuduruwo said about beef is correct! Not only from a religious point of view..just forget the religious point of view for a moment I think if you look into Sinhalese culture we are where we are today because of COW.. last time I checked Sri Lanka was the 13th country in the world when it comes to consuming rice! For a country as small as this..... this is huge! and indeed it show how much our country dependent on rice from ancient times, we Sri Lankans even exported rice those days

So in the humble beginnings of Sri Lanka COW was the centric point if there were no COWS there's no rice, we milked them, we used them as transport, even their excrements were used as fertilizers... the new technology now changed everything and the animal once was too precious too be eaten soon became meat in Sri Lanka!

I think its something personal... depends on individual... if any animal in the history of Sri Lanka helped Sri Lanka to grow its the COW.. if you can respect that and spare the Animal then that's the simplest of ways we as Sri Lankans can pay our tribute to this once precious Animal! You don't need religion to figure that out!

I don't think Sinhalese people are blaming Muslims for eating meat, Sinhalese eat meat too so how can they only blame Muslims?

1st of all i would like to thank "JUST" for sharing this..!A fair interview indeed...

And i hope all misunderstandings are corrected now...!!

Macho Sri_Lion...as a muslim i have got insulted so many times bcus of these issues..In school there was a monk who used to teach us Sinhala for OL..!And he was so damn against Muslims..and he used to insult us so many times using these issues and many other of our beliefs...and all the other students used to laugh at us(u'll understand if u feel it) i was really pissed abt this and i wanted to even complain abt this...and i culdnt do it coz again it would be blamed not us but the Muslims again..!!

And once again i want to tell...Okkomala eka wage nehe...I respect every religion(jus becuz of one...it doesnt mean that the whole religion is the same)

There was a thread few months back against us..sayin that we r selfish bla bla...jus bcuz of one or two...the whole religion is blamed....

...and i never go against any religion.,,and i really hate to talk abt these topics coz so many misunderstandings...!

Finally want to tell...No one has the right to criticize any religion..Its just their personal beleif..!

n i was the only muslim student in that class n yeah it was O/L time

and i know everyone doesn't insult only a few people ..................
