Indian Premier League (IPL-3) will be broadcast live on You Tube video site, as IPL has signed a two year contract with internet search engine giant Google.
IPL will reach to people in every country through You Tube platform where they will be able to see the match with their selected camera positions.
All the 60 matches in the third season starting from March 12 can be watched live on Youtube platform.
IPL commissioner, Lalit Modi said that they will be able to get about 500 million viewers through Google and most of the countries will get live feed of the match while in some countries there will be some delay of few minutes.
Modi added that the broadcast of IPL on internet will help the cricket fans all over the world as now people in different countries will be able to watch match at any time according to their convenience.
You Tube will provide various facilities like freeze, fast-forward and rewind the feed, as well as watch replays at any time during the day.
"We are thrilled to have the IPL as our global partner," said Shailesh Rao, Managing Director, Google India.
"YouTube offers an open platform for sports and entertainment companies to take their content to a global audience and a great opportunity for advertisers," Rao added.
