Well I put it this way...

After listening to the song carefully, I realized there is a very strong similarity. But I don't called it a rip-off. I don't like Iraj's music at all. ( I don't call it music even). May be he had listened to the english song before and because of its a nice melody, he would've applied the whole inspiration to "Oba hindha" song.

I don't think it is a wrong thing. I totally disagree with copying things. But inspiration is very good thing.

Nothing in this world is original. Every new creation has an extension of a previous creation or source in the nature.

However "Oba hindha" song's lyric is solid gold shit. This is one of the cheapest and silliest songs I've ever heard.

I see Iraj as a talented person. But I believe that he has not identified his real talent. So if Iraj is watching this, I seriously suggest you to think about this deeply.

I totally disagree with you...Iraj may be a popular person. But that doesn't mean that he is the best. Why? Because his songs has no valuable "Core" in it.

I love Nadeeka guruge stuff. I know him personally and I think he's great. Now He got some serious talent. but he too copied illia nathalia's Romanian Gypsy to produce this song sung by Nanda Malini for a Tele drama. Think its Nadeeka's First Music direction on T.V.. Thats the thing.
There was a discussion about it on the net while ago too.
He admitted this to me personally when we met up before he left the country after "rathnawallee - theater production " which he did music for. but nevertheless he's very talented and I respect for that.

My whole point is, It's okay to get inspired and produce music.
but there is a way.
