    June Royal College wins Inter-school League Rugby Championship


    Royal College, Colombo clinched the Inter-school League Rugby Championship with 21-08 :lol::lol: win over Isipathana College on Saturday (20).

    The final game of the Singer ;A; division Rugby League between the only unbeaten teams Royal College Colombo and Isipathana College Colombo took place at the Royal Sports Complex grounds.

    Royal College opened the scoring five minutes in to the game with a penalty. During the first half, Royal College gathered a total of 16 points that included two tries and two penalties, while Isipathana College could only gather a total of eight points that included a try and a penalty.

    During the second half, defending champions Isipathana were not able to score any points while Royal College added five points more with a try. Royal College then emerged champions of the tournament.

    The winning team bagged the Singer ‘A’ Division League Trophy and Milroy Fernando Memorial Trophy.
