The issue is on the Java plug in for browsers only!
The browser plugin security model does not allow the applets to access the local system resources, but with the bug, the applet can run astray in the system without any warning.
Hope Oracle fix this up.
There is no danger developing Java Desktop mobile or enterprise scale applications!
