There are free books. You can further convert pdfs to a Kindle file format too. My experience was bitter. Because of the screen size. It’s very very small. But the battery life holds for weeks. If you’ve an iPad better to read ebooks on iPad.
But I don’t like to discourage you as reading is very good. If screen size is not an issue Kindle is good. But remember to buy a one with back light.

උඹ ඇත්තටම e book කියවන ඒකට වෙලා තියෙන එකෙක්නන් විතරක් ගනින්. නැත්තන් සල්ලි අපරාදේ. මගේ kindle එක වෙලා නැති නිසා මන් මාස ගානකින් පාවිච්චි කරේ නැ.

kindle එක පට්ට හැබැයි. charge කරාම මාසයක් තියෙනව.

හොඳ model එක kindle paperwhite. තව අනිත් brands තියෙනව size එකෙන් එහෙමත් ලොකු. ඒත් ඒව ගැන කියන්න මන් දන් නැ.
