KUBUNTU operating system??????

Its same as ubuntu, the core is same,. ubuntu use the GNOME desktop environment. Kubuntu uses the KDE desktop environment. KDE looks nice at a glance, but GNOME is much more customizable. When talkin about Ubuntu, most of ubuntu users use the Ubuntu rather than kubuntu,

and by the way................... all those are linux distribution. dont expect windows from linux, (although there are some windows softwares emulators), Linux got its own stuff. its own way, its own community.

they are amazing, but you need to get into the linux world, otherwise you'll don't enjoy linux stuff.

machooo... althouagh the "Ubuntu" wrd is a african wrd..,it doesn't mean that it made 4 the affrican people..,,.,.it's the best product u can ever get..,.u r free to make changes to that OS and u r free to distribute it with ur friends....if u got to know any kind of unwanted thing in ubuntu..,,.and if u knw how to write and understand programes......then...u can make that thing by ur self....
u can see the ubuntu source....and there ar so many facilities ..,,,read that GPL licen...b4 u say sumthing ....k ..(i can b sure that u'll never read that licene which u can c when u r installing a softwear in windows...if you can read the both license...u'll feel the difference...)

You can not install software that work in XP u have to use linux based software which are work with Unix Plat form.

But you can get grate colloction of software

as a example
Koffice


and good thing is most of them are free

+ fedora is more cool than Ubuntu

and it's also free

But keep mind there are not lot of software that can work with Linux it mean u can not install software like windows environment


use fedora 8 it's coooooooooooool

Kubuntu is a free linux distribution. . . It is the same popular Ubuntu release but uses much more windows like K-Desktop Environment instead of GNOME as in Ubuntu. . . The CD can be ordered free of charge. . Will arrive in about 6 weeks i guess. . . Otherwise it's free to download.
