With all due respect to lawyer did BASL or your organization or AKD , Tilvin or any other person ever campaigned to bring legislation to confiscate proceeds of crime through legislation. To my knowledge No.
Such laws were in UK and most developed countries including US, Canada, Aus, NZ.... to name few. This is non conviction based confiscation of proceeds of crime!! (May be this is new to you and perhaps to AG too!)
Do we have laws to prevent another Bond scam- No Even today insider dealing is an offence only regarding Shares in Share market . There is no law to deal insider dealings in Bonds! in Sri Lanka.
Did anybody campaigned for such laws ? again No including JVP

We paid more than 200 million to chinese firm by settlement with AGs Dept and this company. We had to pay this as officer of AG's dept had wrongly advised Peoples Bank to open unconditional LC . So this is clearly Lawyers' Fault (not the idiotic decision to stop chemical fertilizer- by dr. Padeniya , GMOA , Wimal, Prof Jayasumana and the Viyahmaga last not least GR)
Who prevented $800 million grant under MCC for three projects suggested by govt of SL - Committee headed by UOC Econ Prof Gunaruwan. this was equally supported by AKD, Tilvin as their mission is to oppose any US project !! True to their Master's Voice(this is the biggest ever grant we received from any country and request for MCC was done by MR but could not finalize it due to accountability issues !! before he was ousted in 2015 and MS got it 2019 but GR-MR rejected for wrong reasons !
The same Prof recommended not to go ahead with KVL improvements and LRT and they were scrapped for false and wrong reasons. Did any professional organization pointed out the wrong reasons ? No
the list can go on...
Just to point out as much as Gota should go the ill advisors such as Wimal, Udaya G , Vasu , Cabral, Basil, MR prof Channa Jayasumana, ... should also go home.
So again shouting without getting your facts correct will not solve the Mess that we are in! But will be in a worse situation than this(same as in 2015)
Seek change not for the sake of change, but change of wrong policies and persons involved! As leader GR should go and accept responsibility but the story does not end there! It only starts there, but alas ! Our leader cannot understand word Go! (May be some other word!)
