research eka opensource karana nisa ubuntu damma windows athulen. (nikan program 1k wage install kale) D partition 1ta thamai damme. ubuntu walata kiyala wenama partition 1k na. dan machn mama godak changes kala ubuntu walata. packages install kala, ewa okkoma configure kala mata ona widiyata.

eth mata dan thiyena prashne mokak hari wela ubuntu kela wunoth (kalin weradi command 1k gahala kela wuna ) mata configure karapuwa ekakwath mathaka na aaye karanna. dan mama me ubuntu install karala thiyena widiyata mata ubuntu wala full backup / image / clone 1k ganna puluwan widiyak dannawada ??

If LibreOffice Impress doesn't suit ur needs u can use Kingsoft Office Spreadsheets. On the other hand it is fully compatible with MS Office. Not only that u can install MS Office in Linux using WINE if u're r so concerned about it.

What r the other disadvantages u find in migrating to linux? Tell us all. We'll try to solve ur problems about linux.

Also u can't say linux(Ubuntu) OS's r ..Nowadays Linux is getting more popular..It is growing day by day..!

Simple tip

මට අත පය තියන් නිකන් ඉන්න බෑනෙ. ඒක නිසා මේක දාන්නෙ. මං හිතන්නෙ හැම කෙනාම දන්නවා අපිට terminal එකේ කිසිම සාමන්‍ය විදිහට [x+y | x-y | x*y | x/y] කිසිම දෙයක් එකතු කරන්නවත් අඩු කරන්නවත් බෑ. අපි එහෙම කරනව නම් පහල විදිහට කරන්න ඕනෙ.

ඔච්චර දිගට type කරන්න වෙලාවක් නෑනෙ. Terminal එක ගත්ත ගමන් එකතු කරන්න පුලුවන් උනා නම් ඉවරනෙ. නැද්ද මං අහන්නෙ? අපි ඒකට ~/.bashrc file එකේ function එකක් හදනවා. මේ වගේ. [ඕක copy කරලා ~/.bashrc file එකේ අනිතිම හරියට දාගන්න.]

calc වෙනුවට තමන්ට ලේසි වචනයක්/අකුරක්/symbol එකක් දාගන්න පුලුවන්. මොකද අපි එකේ ඕක ඉස්සරහින් තමයි එකතු කරන්න ඕනෙ එක type කරන්නෙ. හරියට නිකන් මේ වගේ.

Simple tip

Simple උනත් බරපතල tip එකක්. WARNING කියලම වැඩේ පටන්ගමුකො. දැන් අපි කරන්න යන්නෙ /tmp folder එක RAM එකට mount කරන එක. /tmp file එක RAM එකට mount කරලා computer එකේ speed එක වැඩි කරගන්න පුලුවන්. හැබැයි RAM එක 2 GB වලට වඩා අඩු වගේ නම් මේක කරන්න යන්න එපා. කරලා මට එහෙම කියන්න එපා. මේ වැඩේට no warranty.

ඉස්සෙල්ලම පොඩ්ඩක් පැහැදිලි කරගමු මෙහෙම කරලා කොහොමද computer එකේ speed එක වැඩි වෙන්නෙ කියල. /tmp වල පැහැදිලි කිරීමක් මෙතනින් ගන්න පුලුවන්. දැන් මෙහෙමයි speed එක වැඩි වෙන්නෙ. අපි දන්නවා hard එකේ data exchange speed එකට වඩා RAM එකේ speed එක වැඩියි. එතකොට hard එකේ ඉදන් වැඩක් කරනවට වඩා RAM එකේ ඉදන් කලාම speed එක වැඩි. තේරෙන්න ඇති මං හිතන්නෙ.

කරන්න තියෙන වැඩේ simple. Root විදිහට /etc/fstab file එක open කලා. පහල තියෙන line එක fstab file එකේ යට හරියට paste කලා. Reboot කලා. එච්චරයි.

Open /etc/fstab file as root. Replace 'nano' with your favorite text editor.

sudo nano /etc/fstab

Paste this line to bottom of 'fstab'.

none     /tmp     tmpfs     defaults,size=100m     0     0

'size=100m' කියන්නෙ temporary files වල limit එක. ඔන්නම් ඒ කෑල්ල නැතුව උනත් මේ line එක fstab වලට දාන්න පුලුවන්. එහෙම කලොත් temporary files වල limit එක unlimited වෙනවා. Unlimited වෙලා සමහර වෙලාවට temporary files මුලු RAM එකම පාවිච්චි කරන්න පුලුවන්. එතකොට applications, Linux distro වලට පාවිච්චි කරන්න RAM එකක් ඉතුරු වෙන්නෙ නෑ. ඒක නිසා හොදම වැඩේ limit එකක් දාන එක.
