    I'm using M1 Pro 16'.

    Pros:

    1. Battery Life - I can use it throughout the day from 10 am to 6 pm on low power mode for standard tasks like emails, Teams, OneNote, and internet browsing.
    2. Mac Operating System - Once you get used to it, you'll never look back at Windows unless it's necessary for your work.
    3. Performance - I tried color grading Red Dragon 8K footage in Davinci Resolve on battery, and it works like a charm with full playback speed.
    4. Build Quality & Sound Quality - Can't be compared with any other laptop out there.
    5. Display - I only use the MacBook display to edit photos using Adobe; brilliant color accuracy.

    Cons:

    1. Data Usage - You can't really measure the data usage unless you're using a bandwidth meter. Things keep updating and using data without any limitation.
    2. Type C Adapters - This is required if you are using any USB devices

There aren't many cons to mention.

    Pros:
    • Battery life (easily last a whole day even with heavy programming) Have not seen any other laptop like this battery life.
    • Screen (Retina, so fonts are crispy) Once you use, you can't unsee the pixels in other normal laptops. Trust me.
    • No noise at all. Rarely fan gets activated.
    Cons:
    • Not enough ports. Be ready to buy a dongle/extender.
    • Updates are so HUGE!!!! Half of your monthly data will be gone with a single MacOS update with its application (XCode, Adobe etc).
    • MacOS updates are unreliable. Backup your data before an update. Sanoma 14.4 broke Java, USB and iCloud files already. (F*** you Apple!)
    • If broken, there is no way that you can repair it yourself. In Sri Lanka, it is worse. You have to wait until retailer ships the laptop to Singapore, fix it and then returned.
    • Choose the spec carefully when you are buying. Once you bought, you can't change it. You have to resell and buy a new one.
